since 1999 - Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Ecological Risks in Urban Drainage, Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic

Area of interest:

Research in the field of urban hydrology, especially:

  • integrated approach to the urban drainage system, simulation of rainfall-runoff processes in urban catchments, catchment schematisation (work at the project "Integrated urban drain-age system Fehraltorf", EAWAG 1990-1994, activities of COST 682: "Interaction of the Sewer System and the Treatment Plant")
  • mathematical modelling of transport and transformation processes in urban drainage systems and receiving waters (PhD thesis "Dynamics of the nitrogen transformation in a shallow stream" in the framework of the Priority Research Programme 1994-1997 of the EAWAG "Sustainable Management of Resources")
  • assessment of the ecological status of running waters and the affects of urban drainage systems
Teaching:
  • Water management systems in urban catchments
  • Selected topics on wastewater treatment
  • Operation of wastewater treatment plants
  • Dynamics of the processes in the urban drainage system
  • co-author of the textbook Drainage of urban catchments - conceptual approach (Krejcí et al., 2003)
